I need to translate my marriage certificate for a residency application here in Canada. What should I do to make this translation valid in Canada and how long will this process take? I would also like to know if you translate other types of documents.

For any translation to be valid in any country outside the Dominican Republic, the following legalization requirements need to be fulfilled:

1. You send us copy of the document you wish to translate and we will send you a formal proposal based on the number of words such documents contains;

2. We translate the document;

3. The translation is presented for legalization before Attorney General’s Office in the Dominican Republic, where the validity of the signature of the translator will be confirmed and legalized;

4. The translation is presented for legalization before the Ministry of Foreign Relations; and

5. The translation is presented for legalization before the corresponding consulate of the country where the document will be presented, where the validity of the signature of the Minister will be confirmed and legalized.
